Bobby Baucom Duncan, of Dallas, TX passed away Friday, November 15, 2013. Bob was born in 1930 in Charlotte, NC to the late Myrtle Baucom Duncan and Marcus Earl Duncan. Bob graduated from Fairview High School. And earned a degree from Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. He married Mildred Ceretha House in 1950. After many moves during his career with Colgate, they settled in Richardson, TX in 1969. Bob was the number one salesman in the country for Colgate for ten years during his 32 years with Colgate. With his love of sales and never meet a stranger attitude Bob pursued a second career in funeral industry for 28 years. He loved animals and was known for taking them in and nursing them back to health. His sons and grandchildren were his pride and joy. His wife Mildred preceded Bob in death. He is survived by sons, Bruce of Chico, CA and Marc of Houston, TX; granddaughters and their spouses, Blake and Rachel Phillips of Birmingham, AL. and Joe and Katy Tillotson of Dallas TX; grandson, Michael Duncan of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Avi, Amelia, Kennedy, Lauren, Patrick, and Bullock; brothers and their wives, Jim and Carolyn of Indian Trail, Douglas and Kathryn of Matthews, and Don and Katie of Wingate; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His best buddy and pet, Little Baby, will miss him greatly. Bob will be taken home to be buried in Monroe, NC. His funeral will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 2 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Midland Chapel. There will be a memorial service in Dallas, TX on Friday, November 29th at 3 pm at North Dallas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Yorkie Haven Rescue http://yorkiehavenrescue.com/.
