Bobby Hinson

Bobby Joe Hinson, 69, of Albemarle, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Kevin Munson, will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 4:00 pm. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Bobby was born on June 14, 1943, in Albemarle, to the late John Elige Hinson and the late Mattie Jane Smith Hinson. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Purkey; a granddaughter, Stephanie Amanda Efird; four brothers and a sister. Mr. Hinson is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Jane Luther Hinson; two daughters, Tammy Jo Hinson Lefler of Albemarle and Robin M. Basinger; six grandchildren, Bobby Goodnight, Jonathan Dinnage, Matthew Dinnage, Krystal Dinnage, Robin Michelle Hurlocker, and Bobbie Efird; three great grandchildren, Courtney Carroll, Kordell Stegall, and Christian Blake; six siblings, Billy Hinson of Concord, Geraldine Thompson of Florida, Dorothy Edwards of Concord, Brenda Osborne of Badin, Janice Williams of Oakboro and Linda Honeycutt of Norwood. Memorials may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 35235 Pickler Road, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hinson family.
