Bobby Lefler, Sr

Bobby Gene Lefler, 73, of Concord, NC passed away unexpectedly from complications of Pneumonia on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on March 27, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Charles Lee and Mamie Fink Lefler. He was also preceded in death by his wife Jane Elizabeth Utley Lefler, brothers C.L. “Shorty” Lefler, Jr. and Norman R. Lefler. Bobby retired from Cabarrus County Schools as a custodian at Beverly Hills Elementary School, and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He enjoyed all sports, especially Tarheel basketball, and also riding his golf cart throughout the neighborhood, supervising the neighbors projects. The family will be meeting at the home of daughter Lou Anne Hamer at 6907 Sandusky Blvd. Concord. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Friday, February, 25, 2011 from 5:30 until 6:30 PM. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel, with the Rev. Jake Shoemaker officiating. He is survived by: son, Bobby Gene Lefler, Jr. and wife Kelly of Concord; daughter, Lou Anne Hamer and husband Chad of Concord; sister, Juanita L. Eudy of Concord; grandchildren, Clay and Kendall Small. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Lefler family.
