Bobby Ray Shue, of Concord NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
Bobby was born on October 13, 1936 in North Carolina to the late Roy Frank Shue and the late Florence Elizabeth Barnhardt Shue. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Jane Shepherd Shue.
He is survived by sons, Terry R Shue, Todd W Shue and Timothy A Shue; daughter Janie M Shue; daugther-in-law, Chrystal Hoffman, all residing in Concord; his beloved Joyce Lambert, of Mt. Pleasant; daughter-in-law Tanya Crouse, of Denver, eight grandchildren, as well as eleven great-grandchildren.
Although Bobby played many roles in many different lives, he is most remembered for being an avid fisherman, talented musician and luthier, and an amazing family man. There wasn't an instrument around he couldn't build or repair, a fish he couldn't catch, or a life he couldn't touch with his kindness. His family and music were his life. He leaves behind a legacy of music and love that will be carried out for lifetimes to come.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at West Concord Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Randy Mauldin.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the family.
