Bobby Smith, Sr

Bobby Allen Smith, Sr., 41, of Highway 601, Midland, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010, at his home. Mr. Smith was born June 16, 1969, in Cabarrus County. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Carl Smith. He was a custodian for Stanly County Schools. Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 7 – 9 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Midland with a 30 minute state. Rev. Tom Gibbs and Rev. Gary Wyrick will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Leslie Barnhardt Smith of the home; sons, Matthew Glenn Smith of the home, Bobby Allen Smith, Jr. of Stanfield, Michael Alexander Smith of Stanfield, and Jon Nicholas Smith of Stanfield; mother, Brenda Morgan McLaurin of Locust; brother, Michael Smith of Albemarle; sisters Carol Carrick of Denton, Melody Smith of Locust, and Cindy Mills of Mooresville.
