Bonnie Powell

Bonnie "Kay" Powell, 72 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Powell was born August 9, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Ephraim Burris and the late Cora Burris.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev Joe Smith. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include son, Jerry Thompson, Jr and wife Julie of New London, granddaughter Meagan Thompson of New London, long time friend, Larry Talbert of Albermarle, brothers, Butch, J.B., and David Mauldin all of Concord, and a sister, Libby of Concord.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County.
