Mr. Boyde Franklin Ritchie, 83 years of age, of Wilkesboro, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.
Boyde was born June 24, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late Samuel Roy Ritchie and the late Fannie Bell Johnson Ritchie. He was also preceded in death by first wife, Betty Jo Allen Ritchie.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, October 16, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Phil Bennett, will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street in Oakboro.
Survivors include wife, Phyllis Ann Morris Ritchie of Wilkesboro, NC; son, Steven (Tammy) Ritchie of Concord; son, Allen (Angie) Ritchie of Concord; daughter, Nancy (Joe) Hopkins of Danville, VA; stepdaughter, Lisa S. Imamura and husband, Reggie; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Boyde retired after 27 years from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System in the HVAC department.
Memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson NC, 27017.
