Brady Almond

Brady Jason Almond, age 82 of Oakboro, NC passed away on January 12, 2011 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home in Albemarle. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Saturday, January 15th from 6-8 PM. The service will be held Sunday, January 16th at 2 PM at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, with a 30-minute state prior to service. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Keith Walters and Mike Taylor will officiate the services. Mr. Almond was born in Stanly County on December 18, 1928 to the late Martin and Bessie Almond. Mr. Almond was preceded in death by his sister Louise Philemon. Mr. Brady J Almond was survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Almond of Oakboro; his son, Gerald Almond of Oakboro; his daughter Judy Fink of Oakboro; his brother, Bennie Almond of Oakboro; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. One granddaughter preceded Brady in death. He was the groundskeeper for Mineral Springs Baptist Church for more than 30 years. He also enjoyed woodworking.
