Brandon Hamby

Brandon Matthew Hamby, 40, of Concord, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, in Savannah, GA. Brandon was born December 4, 1981, in Charlotte, NC to Danny Wayne Hamby and Debbie Jean Hamby.

Brandon was committed to God, loyal to his wife and children, a man of integrity. The following was his self-stated mission and to this he remained true:
“I live a family centric life and to them I am fiercely loyal. I seek out, accept, and thrive in challenges that present in my life.  I achieve happiness by maintaining a “work to live” versus “live to work” mentality. I will always show up for those who depend on me BECAUSE I SAID I WOULD."

Brandon was loved by many and demonstrated his mission statement to them every day.

Brandon proudly served in the Marine Corp. for nine years, he received a Navy Achievement award along with the Marine Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and Maine Corps Recruiting Medal.

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2 PM at Harvest Community Church, 4284 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027.  Come as you are, dress is casual.  Please wear mask for protection of all attendees.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Virginia Hamby, children, Lydia Virginia Hamby, and Blake Matthew Hamby, all of Concord, parents Danny and Debbie Hamby and brother, Steven Hamby.
