Brenda Sue Dulin Anderkin

Brenda Sue Dulin Anderkin, 80, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. 

Brenda was born August 1, 1944, in Charlotte to the late Joe and Ida Dulin. She was also preceded in death by sons, Ricky Lemmond and Wayne Lemmond Jr.; sisters, Linda Sparks (her twin), Doris Jordans, and Barbara Skipper; and brother, Neal Dulin. 

Brenda retired from UNCC IT/Finance department. She loved going to church as a member of Crossroads in Concord. Brenda enjoyed painting and displayed her artwork in her home. She was a phenomenal seamstress and enjoyed photographing birds. Most of all, Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed and forever loved. 

Brenda's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, officiated by Rev. Jeffrey Rushing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Survivors include her beloved husband of 37 years, Michael Anderkin of Harrisburg; daughter, Teresa (Alan) Long; son, David (Selena) Lemmond; stepchildren, Keith (Lisa) Anderkin, Kristi (Lisa) Anderkin, Scott (Andrea) Anderkin, and Ryan (Jasmin) Anderkin; 12 grandchildren, Misti, Trevor, River, Josey, Savannah, David Jr., Sierra, Lauren, Kallie, Megan, Molly, and Kayley; five great-grandchildren, Cole, Kace, Cooper, Bridger, and Junie; and several extended family members.
