Brenda Boone

Brenda Galloway Boone, 68, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018  at home surrounded by family.

She was born November 27, 1949 in South Carolina to the late Robert S. Galloway and Elise Bass Galloway.

Brenda was a special person who cherished the basics of life.  She loved the beauty of the earth found in her nationwide travels.  In particular, the mountains of North Carolina and the Carolina coast were special to her.  Without exception she always put her family first in her life.  Many words will describe Brenda but those most used by her family and friends are loving, caring, thoughtful, strong in her faith, loyal, happy, selfless, and supportive.  Her outward beauty was surpassed by the beauty of her soul and spirit.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Memorial United Methodist Church, 4012 Central Ave in Charlotte, NC.  Another visitation will be held from 10-11am on Thursday, November 1, 2018 also at the church.  A funeral service will immediately follow at 11am in the church with the Reverends, Brandon Lazarus and Eric Lanier officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery at 4426 Central Ave., Charlotte.

Survivors include husband, Harold  Boone of Harrisburg, NC, daughter, Kim Miner and her husband Tim of Charlotte, NC, granddaughters, Grace Miner, and Cate Miner, and "sister" cousin, Dianne Chalmers.

Because the beach was such a special place to Brenda, the family requests that memorials be made to:
