Brenda Anne Little Carpenter, age 79, of Locust, NC, faithful ambassador of the Gospel, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Surrounded by her cherished family, she peacefully left her earthly home leaping into the arms of her Heavenly Father. Upon entering the Kingdom, she was faithfully rewarded with the words she has longed to hear, "Well done Brenda, thy good and faithful servant." The term faithful servant is a wonderful description of her heart for the Lord, heart for the lost and love of people. She never met a stranger and we know countless stories of her God given gift to randomly ask without hesitation, "How can I pray for you today?" or "Tell me about your walk with the Lord." Her love for God's Word was always on display and desire to show people love... and share Him would be her mission statement. She would humbly deny any praise and quickly seek to reflect any good and all glory from her efforts upon the Father. She was the perfect example of a Godly Woman, Prayer Warrior, Teacher, Counselor and Friend. She taught numerous Bible studies, Sunday School classes, prayer groups, mentored young and old sisters and was a constant resource to many spiritual leaders. For many years she served and coordinated our community as the National Day of Prayer Chairperson always encouraging others with the Good News of Jesus Christ and the wonderful power of prayer. She never failed to work the Gospel into any conversation and was greatly privileged to be used as His instrument to lead others to Christ. She was a blessing to many and was blessed by many. She was faithfully praying for others right up to her Heavenly departure. Her reward is now reality with the promised words... "Her faith has now become sight."
Brenda has entered Heaven ahead of cherished family and loving husband, Larry Carpenter, having 60 wonderful years of love and marriage. She leaves behind (only temporary) her children or as she called them... her greatest blessings, Scott Carpenter (Lynn) from Locust and Jennifer Yow (Jeff) from Stanfield; her adored grandchildren, Kelton Carpenter (Amber), Kirby Carpenter, Kaley Carpenter (Ethan Morgan), Emma Yow and Bryce Yow. Also missing their Nana are great grandchildren, Cooper and Cade Carpenter. Brenda was given the gift of a wonderful sister as a best friend, Kay Howell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brenda leaves behind countless friends and numerous brothers and sisters she considered as family that she was blessed to love and be loved in return.
