Brenda Hill

Brenda Love Hill, 76, of Oakboro, passed away in her home on Thursday, December 22, 2022, while surrounded by her family.

Brenda was born October 26, 1946, in Florida to the late William Wesley Love and the late Della Mae Love. As a seamstress and baker, she used her creativity to bring joy to those around her. She was a devoted Mamma and Meema to her grandchildren. They saw her as the "fixer of all things," and she was always ready to help. She spent many days sewing costumes, making birthday cakes, and helping with school projects.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Keith Augustus Hill; daughters Kathy Harwood, Christi (Alan) Tucker, Amy Trull and Betsy(Jason) Hazlett; grandchildren, Andrew Harwood, Holly (Tyler) McLaughlin, Ava Harwood, Hank (Sarah) Tucker, Luke Tucker, Owen Trull, Josh Hazlett and Jake Hazlett; great-grandchildren, Ella Harwood, June McLaughlin, Kol Weatherly, and Cooper Harwood. She is preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Love and son-in-law, Chris Harwood.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.  A private burial will follow at a later date.
