Brenda Sutton Linker

Brenda Sutton Linker, 79, of Concord, left this earth to join her Heavenly Father and beloved husband on Saturday, December 30, 2023. 

Brenda was born March 20, 1944, in North Carolina to the late Edward S. Sutton and the late Esther Holloman Sutton.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 1/2 years, John Daniel Linker, Sr.; sisters, Delores Reeves and Susan Starnes; and brothers, Ricky, Darrus and Charles Sutton.

Brenda worked 40 years for Cannon Mills and 7 years for Shoe Show Distribution.  She also worked at various food establishments part time.  Brenda was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.  Her goal in life was to make others happy.  Brenda will be missed for her love of cooking for family and friends.  Brenda loved spending time with family and making floral arrangements for the church.     

Brenda is survived by her son, John Daniel "Danny" Linker, Jr. and wife, Betsy, of Concord; son, Tim Linker of Midland; son, Mark Linker of Concord; granddaughter, Jennifer Revelle and husband, Brandon, grandson, Ryan Linker and wife, Corissa; grandson, Chris Linker; great-granddaughters, Allie, Brenley, Emmy, Macie, Caroline and Brystal; and great-grandson, Myles Revelle; and sister, Becky McCormick.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Pastor Tim Shue and Pastor Jerry McCall. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.
