Brenda Polk

Brenda Widenhouse Polk, Age 64 of 5555 Ashland Rd., Kannapolis, passed away on October 11, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in Concord. Born in Concord on September 28, 1945, she was a self employed sign painter. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Henry Motley, mother Edith Rebecca Gaddy Motley, and brother Bobby Ray Motley. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home. Funeral service will held on Wednesday,October 14, 2009 at 02:00 PM at Impact Church, with the Rev. Donna Wise officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Mrs. Polk was survived by her spouse Steven Lawrence Polk of Kannapolis NC, her son Lawrence Henry Widenhouse of Concord NC, her daughters Leslie Lahoma Taylor of Concord NC, Edith Robin Widenhouse Brown of Linwood NC, her sisters Lorene Owens of Salisbury NC, Joann Honeycutt of Concord NC grandchildren Victor Leland Hartline III, James Paul Few, Jr., Brett Allen Brown, Numerous step granchildren, uncle- Richard Gaddy of Waynesville, NC, and her 2 cats Scuppie & Trucker.
