Brenda "Kay" Almond Rogers, 69 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her home in Albemarle.
Kay was born October 3, 1944 in Stanly County to Sally Victoria Cooper of Albemarle and the late Clinton Almond.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service officiated Rev. Lowell Brown and Rev. Mark Little will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery, 32871 Church Rd, Norwood, NC 28128.
In addition to her mother; she is survived by husband, Thomas "Tommy" Gilbert Rogers of Albemarle; sons, Tony "Scott" Rogers and wife, Donna, and Thomas "Glenn" Rogers and wife, Mika; and daughter, Carla Rogers Tucker and husband, David all of Albemarle; grandchildren, Camey Almond, Trixie Dennis, Paige, Rhea, Malory, Tony, Julia, Kayla, Dennis and Rylie Rogers, Lee, Aaron, Bradley, Christian, Brittany and Courtney Thompson; great-grandchildren, Eli, Amelia, Judah and Millie Thompson, Jayde Dennis, Tana, Asher and Sadie Almond; and sister, Janet Whitley and husband, Dan, of Norwood.
