Brenda Shaver

Brenda Ann Tucker Shaver, 69, of Florence, SC and formerly of New London, NC passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Brenda was born April 8, 1947 in Stanly County, NC to the late Grover Duncan Tucker and the late Hassie Bell Cook Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband in 1996, Floyd Everette Shaver; and sister, Helen Faye Tucker Lowder.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 522 N. Second St., Albemarle, NC . The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Todd Galloway, will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Centerview Baptist Church, 508 Northeast Connector, Albemarle, NC. She will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Oliver and husband Mark of Florence, SC.

Mrs. Shaver loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was faithful to her church when her health permitted. Many remember her for her smiling face at KMart. She was a wonderful and loving mother and faithful friend, who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
