Brenda Thompson

Brenda Evangeline Thompson, 58 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Brenda was born May 6, 1956 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Charles Kendrick Howard, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Drye Howard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Danny Thompson; son, Walter Kenneth "Kenny" Pepper III; and brother, Alex Howard.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Friday, August 15, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Tony Allen. At other times the family will be gathering at the home of her son Rodney, 2879 Rockingham Court in Concord.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Pepper and wife, Kristi of Concord; and grandchildren, Robert Daniel Pepper and Ryan Alexander Pepper, both of Concord.

Brenda loved her family. She was a wonderful cook, an avid gardener, and cat lover. Brenda had a wonderful sense of humor and was a great listener.
