Mrs. Brenda Sue Tucker, 65, of 770 Cold Springs Road, Concord, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, receiving her heavenly body on Friday, Septmerber 24, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast. Mrs. Tucker was born on April 14, 1945 in Cabarrus County to the late A.J. and Margaret Fink McLain. She is also preceded in death by jer mother-in-law, Edith Tucker. She was a graduate of Bethel High School and a member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. A service honoring her life and celebrating her victory will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. At other time, the family will be meeting at the home. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Eugene "Gene" Tucker, Jr., whom she cherished so dearly, for his love and support. They were blessed to have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversay on September 2, 2010. She is alson survived by her daughters, Connie Tucker Helms and husband, Mitch, of Concord and Lisa Tucker Cline and husband, Darrell, of Gold Hill; brother, A.V. McLain, of Richfield; grandchilren, Mark Helms, Casey and Ryan Blackwelder, Brandon and Katelyn Cline; father-in-law, Gene Tucker, Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Brenda Hahn; special friends, Cindy and Howard Jones; numerous neices survive; as well as five grand-dogs and four grand-horses. Brenda honored her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by loving her family and others by always putting them before herself. She loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and the beaches. Brenda enjoyed cookouts with her family and was the glue that held them together. She enhoyed her flower garden and feeding the birds and the squirrells. The family wishes to express their special thanks to, Davita Diaylsis, of Harrisburg, Dr. Halstenburg, Dr. Gerig, and Dr. Stoddard, along with the many nurses and staff of the Renal Care Unit and Intermediate Care Unit at CMC-NorthEast Memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
