Bruce Helms, Jr.

Bruce (Butch) Edward Helms, 71, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 12, 2023, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

Bruce Helms was born October 28, 1951, in North Carolina to the late Bruce Edward Helms Sr. and the late Julia Helms.

Bruce was a loving and faithful husband of 38 years. He worked at the Sundrop plant in Concord, NC for 30 years in production. He was a Faithful member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church for 28 years, doing whatever he could to help. He spent much of his time with his grandbabies and doing for others.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm, Friday, June 16, 2023, at Gordon Heights Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Pastor Matthew Tucker Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery.

Family members left to cherish his memory include wife, Donna Helms of Concord, NC, son, Dustin Edward (Jessica) Helms, son, Darryl Helms, daughter, Donna Ledbetter, and seven loving grandchildren; Zach, Nevada, Garrett, Caiden, Paisley, Bentley, and Dylan.
