Bruce Huneycutt

Bruce Herman Huneycutt, 77 years of age, of Charlotte, formerly of Locust, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living in Harrisburg.

He was born October 23, 1936 in North Carolina to the late Homer Lee Huneycutt and the late Maude M. Huneycutt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Huneycutt; his brothers, Lawrence, Charlie, Clifford, Clayton (Red), and James; and his sister, Mary Jewell Whitley.

Bruce was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC for 10 years. He worked in the tile and terrazzo trade for over 40 years.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home in Midland officiated by Pastor Sammy Case. The burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park at 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte.

At other times, the family will meet at the home of his son, Glenn, in Locust.

Survivors include daughter, Annette Eagle of Kannapolis, NC; sons, Glenn (Jackie) Huneycutt of Locust, NC, and Rodney (Karen) Huneycutt of Oakboro, NC; his children's mother, Shelby M. Huneycutt of Harrisburg, NC; 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Haynes of Newport News, VA, and Nadine Moose of Little Rock, AR.
