Bruce Clinton Tennant

Bruce Clinton Tennant, 85, of Midland, NC, passed peacefully from this world on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

 Born on May 16, 1939, in Owego, New York, to Charles Delmont and Hannah Adams Tennant, Bruce was a devoted husband and a source of support, guidance and love to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Having spent much of his career as a model maker for IBM, Bruce was a man who loved to tinker around in his backyard shop and could always be relied on for helping hand and a quick fix when his kids needed his help.

Preceding him in death were his beloved wife of 57 years, Janet Louise Tennant; his brother, Robert Tennant (Phyllis); and his brother, Edward Tennant. 

Bruce's legacy lives on through his loving children: Kevin Tennant (Misti) of Yadkinville, NC; Kelly Tennant Wally (Ronald) of Stanfield, NC and Kenneth Tennant (Angela) of Madison, GA. He was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren: Cody Tennant (Taylor), Dalton Wally (Caroline), Jake Wally, Nick Tennant (Neely), Chloe Wally, Sadie Wally, Evan Tennant, and Logan Tennant. His joy was multiplied by his five great-grandchildren: Piper Tennant, Gavin Wally, Raegan Wally, Sawyer Tennant, and Callie Tennant.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Bruce's life and the memories they shared.
