Budge Henry Cochran, 97 years young, of Concord, entered the gates of Heaven Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his daughters.
Budge was born April 14, 1921 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Bruce Cochran and the late Annie Jane Dulin.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Beulah Mae Long; son, Budge Alan Cochran; grandson, Vince L. Cochran; great granddaughter, Jessica Cochran; sisters, Margaret Francis Furr, Elsie Gertrude Cochran, Mattie Lucille Mason, Martha Elizabeth Hooks, and Edith Kathrine Griggs; brothers, Willie Andrew Cochran, Marion Gilbert Cochran, and Robert Coyt Cochran.
Survivors include daughters, Joan (Mark) Cook, Jane Althea (Ron) Violette, Cindy Cochran; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was a WWII Veteran with the US Army 94th Division. He was a Medic and a Bronze Star Recipient.
He was a member of Roberta UMC. He loved all things of nature, birds, all animals, gardening, and flowers, especially his roses. Christmas was always his special holiday. He enjoyed traveling.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Roberta United Methodist Church-Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Roberta United Methodist Church-Concord officiated by Rev. Jim Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, with full Military Honors.
