Steven Lee (Butch) Hines, 56 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord.
Butch was born October 2, 1958 in Mecklenburg County to George Hines Jr. and the late Dorothy Jean Hines.
Most recently Butch enjoyed driving his dump truck while employed by J. O. Flowe Grading in Midland. Butch never met a stranger and his kind, loving personality is what all will remember about him.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Delane Burris will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery, 137 North Main Street, Oakboro, NC 28129.
In addition to his father, he is survived by wife, Deborah Hines of Stanfield; daughter, Devin Taylor and husband, Timothy; grandson, Cameron Taylor; and brother Robert (Bobby) Allen Hines.
