Born March 7, 1943, he was taken home by angels March 5, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Shinn Hartsell, father Andrew H Lefler and brother Bobby H Lefler.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Nora Sulayne Lefler, two children: Sharon Lefler Sneed (Rodney), Carl Luther Lefler (Jennifer), 7 grandchildren: Tyler Roberts (Brian), Cameron Sneed (Heather), Victoria Sneed (fiancé Austin), Laura, Lacey, Luke and Lillian Lefler
Great grandchildren: Sammy and Nora Roberts, Josie and Colter Sneed; a sister, Carolyn Cress, nieces Billie Plummer, Wanda Lefler Strange and Dawn Ann Lefler. He was a member of Saint Martin Lutheran Church.
It was a great treat for the children, grandchildren and later great-grandchildren playing with the many puppies he raised over the years. It always brought a smile to his face. His knowledge and expert eye for a champion birddog showed up at many field trials. So many wonderful friends evolved as a result of those trials. Over a lifetime of experience in road construction and heavy equipment management has brought friends and coworkers into his life that are very special today. So many memories......so much love will always be with us.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be a service honoring Carl's life on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A graveside ceremony will immediately follow at St. Martin Lutheran Church, located at 5469 NC 200, Concord, NC 28025.
