Carl Love

Carl Franklin Love, 84, of Locust, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

Carl was born June 14, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Roy and Etta Love.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Betty Love; brother, Clyde Love; and sister, Francis Harris.

Carl retired from Presbyterian Hospital.  He enjoyed gardening and loved classic cars.  He was a loving father and grandfather.  Carl will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Survivors include daughter, Carla (Wayne) Shirley of Mint Hills; son, Aaron Love of Midland; daughter, Lisa Love of Charlotte; grandson, Ryan Poole; great-granddaughter, Siana Poole; Sarah McCoy of Stanfield; stepdaughter, Judy Hoggard of Albemarle; stepson, David (Liz) Hoggard of Midland; stepdaughter, Kathy (Tony) Austin of Locust; seven step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 617 Bethel Church Road, Locust, officiated by Rev. Brian Bolding.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
