Carl White

The golden gates of Heaven opened for Carl Ray White, Sr., 82 years of age, of Stanfield, on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Carl was born December 6, 1931 in North Carolina to the late William Rowland White and Dovie Louisa Koone White. He was the youngest son of 13 children. Carl was a veteran of the US Navy. His most enjoyable moments were spent with his children and gardening. His family is certain he is now tending his garden in Heaven and we look forward to seeing him there when we meet again. The funeral service will be held at Morning Star Lutheran Church, 12509 Idlewild Road, Matthews, NC on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Dr. Ed Crotty. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris Marie Mills White of the home; four children, Debbie Freeburn and husband Jimmy, Cindy Brown, Carl Ray White, Jr. and wife, Marty, and James White and wife Freda; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
