Carol East

Carol Freeman East, 97, of First Assembly Living Center in Concord, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. She lived a long and full life. Mrs. East was born January 24, 1915 in Union County to the late James Eubanks Freeman and Hattie Long Freeman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth East, and her loving son, Myraden Pierce. Myraden passed away in September, 2012. A private ceremony will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survivors include her grandchildren, Leslie M. Pierce, Vanghi P. Trull, Victor N. Pierce, and Sergeant Klane B. Pierce; four great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law, Judy T. Pierce, of Harrisburg. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the East family.
