Carol Suzanne Moss

Carol Suzanne Moss, 85, of Marshville, passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023, at her home.

Ms. Moss was born July 7, 1938, in the Island of Jersey U.K. to the late George Frederick Wiley and the late Amy Alma Wiley. She moved to the U.S. in 1958 where she began her new life and raised three children, Curtis, Steve and Nancy. After retiring from SETA Corp., she found time to enjoy many hobbies. She had a great ability to turn a plain yard into a beautiful flowering landscape. She also spent many hours developing her culinary skills. She loved the beach, you could find her reading a good book, or crabbing on the dock and spending time with friends and family. 

Survivors include her children Curtis (Sandra) of Indian Trail, NC, Steve (Luann) of Norwood, NC and daughter Nancy (Ken) Townsend, of Marshville, NC; her grandchildren Joshua (Monica) Moss, Jessica (Tim) O'Neal, Bradley Moss, Jennifer Haas, Jonathan Moss, Tyler (Brittany) Moss, Travis (Morgan) Townsend, Kacie (Ricky) Richardson; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister Avril Jolly, which she missed very much and two nieces Sarah and Louise.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, from 11am-12pm, a celebration of life will follow at 12pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church located at 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Rd, Marshville, NC 28103.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tillery Compassionate Care, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
