Caroleen Smith

Caroleen Deal Smith, 75, of Mission Church Road, Locust, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast, Concord, NC. Caroleen was born October 29, 1934, in Cabarrus County, to the former James Dennis Deal and Annie Cauble Deal. She was also preceded in death by son, Scott Smith. The visitation will be Friday, Oct. 22, 6 – 8 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. At other times, the family will meet at the home of son, Rickey, at 9272 Mission Church Road. The funeral service will be Saturday, 11:00, at Bethel Baptist Church, Locust, with Rev. Charlie Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors are husband, Marvin Smith, of the home; sons, Marvin “Rickey” Smith and wife, Brenda, and Michael Smith and wife, Melody, all of Locust, brother; Arthur Deal of Concord; sister, Elizabeth Rhinehardt of Concord; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
