Carolyn Belk

Carolyn Yvonne Hovis Belk, 67, of Mint Hill, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Belk was born on July 27, 1944, to the late Ernest Lester Hovis and Gussie Iona Medlin Hovis. Mrs. Belk is survived by her husband John M. Belk of the home; her daughter Tiffany Jovon Belk McAteer and her husband, Kendal of Indian Trail; her brothers, J.P. Hovis, and his wife, Faye of Matthews, Layton Hovis and his wife, Doris of Charlotte and Jack Hovis and his wife, Star of Charlotte; her sisters, Joanne Norton and her husband, Wayne of Taylors, SC, Hilda Roberts and her husband, Joe of Concord, and Gayle Reedy and her husband, Joel of Murrells Inlet, SC; and her grandchildren Aedan and Grace McAteer. There will be no funeral service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Belk family.
