Carolyn Cheek

Carolyn Delores Hucks Cheek, 80, of Concord, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at home with family by her side.

Carolyn was born October 21, 1937 in Charlotte to the late John Hucks and the late Lillie Mae Sharpe.  She was also preceded in death by husband, Bobby Lee Cheek; granddaughter, April Dawn Cheek; three brothers; and one sister.

Carolyn loved cooking, reading, decorating, and giving to those in need.  Carolyn was a generous, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include son, Michael (Sherry) L. Cheek; daughter, Kayren Cheek (Allen) Biggerstaff; daughter, Kristi Cheek (Scotty) Brewer; daughter, Kelly J. Cheek; sister, Frances McCrorie; sister, Louise Alexander; sister, Margaret Plyler; grandchildren, John Cheek, Angela Cheek, Antonio Biggerstaff and Tyler Biggerstaff; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home Harrisburg Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dale Jenkins. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11:30 am - 12:45 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
