Carolyn Drye

Carolyn Williams Drye, 67, of Elm Street, Stanfield, passed away March 9, 2010, in Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle. Mrs. Drye was born May 30, 1942, in South Carolina, to the former Dreece and Cora McGuirt Austin who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by husbands Hoyle Claxton Medlin and Flave H. Huneycutt, Jr. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Funeral service will be Friday, 4:00 p.m., at Kinza Memorial Baptist, 4311 Love Mill Rd., Stanfield, with a 30 minute state, Dr. Darrell Nance officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. All other times the family will be at her home on Elm Street. Survivors include husband, George Mitchell Drye of the home; sons, Rodney Huneycutt of Matthews and fiancé Lindsey Hegger, Todd Huneycutt of Stanfield; daughter, Tammy Mullis and husband, Mark of Oakboro; stepson, Tim Drye of Charlotte; step daughters, Kim Mullis and Darla Furr of Stanfield; grandchildren, Daniel Mullis, Tanner Mullis, Meghan Huneycutt, Skylar Huneycutt, Easton Huneycutt and Kiley Hegger; step grandchildren Cassie Mullis, Cody Mullis, Samantha Furr, Alexander Drye and Grace Drye; brother, Jimmy Austin of Midland; sisters Betty Bracey of Oakboro and Judy Edwards of Helena, AL Memorials may be made payable to Hartsell Funeral Home, P.
