Carolyn Floyd

Carolyn Pope Floyd, 74, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main in Charlotte. Mrs. Floyd was born January 12, 1938 in Concord, Cabarrus County, N.C. to the late Wiley Austin Pope and Nolian Elizabeth Hagler Pope. She was also preceded in death by her brother Benny Pope. The family will have a private gathering. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lewis Milton Floyd; her two daughters, Sherry McWhirter and husband David of Locust, NC, Kim Hathcock and husband Dennis of Stanfield, NC; a brother, George Pope and wife Barbara; a sister, Gail Wilson; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Pope; five grandchildren, Amber Hatley, Brittney Rhodes, Courtney Hatley, Blake Snider and Gina Strickland; and five great grandchildren, Zoee Hatley, Grayden Hatley, Tulah Hatley, Averie Hatley and Kannon Rhodes.
