Carolyn Drake Hinson

Carolyn Drake Hinson, 82, of Locust, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at her home.

Carolyn was born March 19, 1942 in North Carolina to the late Brice Sylvester Drake and the late Margie Lee Hathcock Drake. 

She was also preceded in death by special niece, Jessica Irene Drake.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Stanfield officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will immediately follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery at 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield.

Survivors include daughter, Amber Hinson (Dean) Burris of Stanfield, NC; grandchildren, Logan Burris and Matthew Burris; brother, H. Mack (Flavella) Drake; and niece, April Drake (Joey) Carpenter.
