Carolyn Mcrorie

Carolyn Jo Boyd McRorie, 79, of Concord, gained her angel wings Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her residence in Concord.

Mrs. McRorie was born December 7, 1942 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Silver Joe Boyd and the late Maxine Lefler Boyd. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Boyd.

The graveside service will be on Monday, November 21st, 2022 at 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis and be officiated by the Rev. Benny Creed.

Carolyn loved spending time with family. She also loved watching sports. Her favorite teams were North Carolina Tar Heels, Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Panthers. She worked retail most of her life and retired from Plejis.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years Wayne McRorie of Concord, daughter Deborah Hughes, grandchildren Kristen Hatley Boyd (Jason), Brad Cook (Sammie), great grand daughter Kaycin Boyd, brother Greg Boyd, sisters Gail Huneycutt (Don), Sylvia Nolan (Bill), Vickie Craig (Danny), Beverly Weaver (Bill) and a very special Aunt Faye Davis.

In lieu of flowers make a donation to MS Foundation or Susan G. Komen.
