Carolyn Ritchie

Carolyn Jacile Griggs Ritchie, age 73, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. At other times the family will meet at the home. The funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Howells Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Pinkley and Rev. Floyd Perry officiating. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. She was born on April 27, 1938 to the late Garland Lee Griggs, and the late Maude Arecie Knowles Griggs. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Sam Lewis Ritchie, of the home; her daughter, Becky Blevins and husband, Mike, of Pfafftown; her sons, Aaron Ritchie and wife Dana of Concord and Arnold Ritchie of Charlotte; her sister, Tammie Griggs Truett and husband, George, of Woodstock, GA; and eight grandchildren.
