Carrie Moore

Carrie Ruth Lennon Moore, 93, formerly of 580 Spring Street SW, Concord, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Transitional HealthCare in Kannapolis. She was born on March 15, 1917 in Brunswick County to the late Joseph Oren Lennon and the late Lucy Jane Robbins Lennon. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 12:30 until 1:30 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Robert Page officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of daughter, Betty Troutman at 202 Miller Avenue SW, Concord. Mrs. Moore was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed working with her flowers and her yard. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Mrs. Moore was a very dedicated member of her church as long as her health permitted. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living for the quality of care that Mrs. Moore received from them. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harry James Moore, who passed away December, 1986. She is survived by daughters, Betty Troutman and husband, Robby, of Concord, Margaret Cox, of Concord, and Virginia Batson and husband, Murray, of Supply; sisters, Delphia Harris, of Fayetteville and Glenn Wilson and husband, Ed, of Rocky Point; grandchildren, Stephanie Troutman, Heather Dickerson, Christopher Cannon, Patrick Cannon, and Erin Adams; and ten great grandchildren.
