Cassandra Mcfarlane

Cassandra Tarleton McFarlane, 56, of Midland, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Mrs. McFarlane was born March 27, 1966, in Dougherty, Georgia to the late James Edward Tarleton and the late Martha Lou Ellis Tarleton.

She was also preceded in death by her eldest brother Tony Tarleton and her brother Kenneth Tarleton.

Cassandra was a devout mother who prided herself in guiding her children in walking with the Lord. She faithfully homeschooled both her children through graduation. She spent her life walking in faith and trusting in God for guidance. She was known for being an influential person wherever she went. Anywhere from the Taco Bell drive through to the comments on a Facebook post, Cassandra spent her days being a light and a smiling face to others. Before becoming a full time stay-at-home mom and teacher, Cassandra worked in many fields. From working at a movie theater, managing apartment complexes, to serving as the church secretary at different churches. In her most recent years, after getting her kids through school, she was often found doing things for others. Leaving water bottles for delivery drivers, donating things to those in need, or just being a prayerful counselor. She will be missed by many and will continue to be an influence to those that were blessed with knowing her.

The memorial service will be at Providence Church of God, 12474 NC 24-27 Hwy. in Locust, NC on September 10 at 2:00pm and will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Ingle and Rev. Lonnie Gross. The family will begin receiving family and friends at 1:30.

Survivors include husband, Stuart Martin McFarlane of Midland, NC; children, Patrick and Madison McFarlane of Midland, NC; and brother, Bruce Tarleton of Missouri.
