Catherine Furr

Catherine Sue “Kitty Sue” Huneycutt Furr, 71, of Locust, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast in Concord. Mrs. Furr was born May 14, 1941 in Union County to the late James Claude Huneycutt and Catherine Elizabeth Springs Huneycutt. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Charles Huneycutt. She was a lab technician for Carolinas Medical Center in Concord. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at Bethel Baptist Church, 12672 Bethel Church Road, Locust, officiated by Pastor Keith Austin and Pastor Charlie Littlejohn. Burial will follow at Locust Presbyterian Cemetery at 607 West Main Street in Locust. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Survivors include her husband, Roy Junior “R. J.” Furr, of the home; her son, Jimmy Furr, of Stanfield; her daughter, Tammy F. Black, of Concord; and three grandchildren.
