Catherine Louise Walker Lewis of 1440 White Oak Avenue, Albemarle, passed away January 21, 2012 at CMC NorthEast in Concord. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Born on February 11, 1943 in York, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Carl Walker, Jr. and the late Louise Christmas Walker. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ed Wayne Lewis, Jr.; daughters, Cheryl Ellis of Charlotte and Sharon Lewis of Albemarle; sons, Jeffery Gagnon of Charlotte and David Lewis of Albemarle; brothers, Carl Walker and Butch Hawkins both of Rock Hill; sister Ella Rae Hammond of Rock Hill; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a dye supervisor. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the family.
