Catherine Faulk Mullis

Catherine Mullis, 85, of Indian Trail, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in her home surrounded by family. 

Mrs. Mullis was born November 7, 1938, in Union County to the late Leander Henderson Faulk and the late Mary Virginia Gurley Faulk. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Atha "Jackie" Jeanette Kindley and Janie Elizabeth Faulk; brother, Charlie Frank Faulk; and great-grandson, Baby Davis.

The family will not be receiving friends at this time. Visitors are welcome to see Mr. Brook’s at his home in Indian Trail at a later date. 

Survivors include husband, Brooks Reid Mullis of Indian Trail; daughter and son in law, Donna Davis and Cutty Davis of Indian Trail; grandson, CJ Davis and his wife Tiffany Davis along with their daughters, Cadence Davis and Hadley Davis; grandson, Dillon Davis and his wife Brandy Davis along with their daughters Summer Davis and Laken Davis of Indian Trail; grandson, Cody Davis of Indian Trail. 

Catherine, known to everyone as “Mawmaw”, had an old soul full of laughter and kindness. She loved her garden and being outside. She was a mother to only one daughter whom she loved dearly. She was an amazing cook and would cook for everyone who was hungry. You never went without food at Mawmaw’s. If you know anything about Catherine, she loved her “boys” her grandsons. When her great granddaughters came along, she loved them even more. Catherine lived a full loving life with all of her family close by. She is truly at peace.
