Cecil Almond

Cecil “Todd” “Cornpuddin” Almond, age 48, of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Friday, March 23 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A celebration of life service will follow in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Mike Lisk. At other times, the family will meet at the home. Mr. Almond was born in Stanly County on August 25, 1963, to the late Cecil Clay Almond and the late Mila Hatley Almond. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Fay Carver Almond, of the home; one daughter, Julie Collins and her husband Ryan of Fairmont, NC; one stepdaughter, Hope Martin and her husband EJ of Patrick, SC; two stepsons, Cory Brown of Cheraw, SC and Douglas Brown of Patrick, SC; two brothers, Rudy Almond of Albemarle and Mike Almond of Norwood; one sister, Ann Speights of Albemarle; two grandchildren, Kaili and Berry Wallace. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Almond family.
