Chance Kiker

Chance Dewey Kiker, age 25, from Midland passed away on Monday March 11, 2019. He was born on July 21, 1993 to Michael Dale Kiker and Sonya Helen Hinson of Midland.

Chance graduated from Central Cabarrus High School in 2012. His generous heart and witty sense of humor is what he will be remembered by most. He was willing to drop whatever he had going on to lend a helping hand to someone in need. When he walked into a room, he knew exactly what to say to make everyone laugh.   He had a passion for motorcycles and spent all his free time riding on 2 wheels. Chance never met a stranger and the list of friendships he made is endless.  Many of his friends considered him a brother. Chance was given the nickname, “Chily” by one of his brothers, Junior, due to his calm demeanor.

He is survived by his father, Mike (Maria) Kiker; his mother, Sonya Hinson; brothers, Michael “Duke” Kiker (Laura Beth), Justin Kiker (Kaitlyn Larson); sister, Nicole Hinson; grandmother, Brenda Kiker, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His niece, Averie Kiker and nephew, Lane Kiker remember him for being a loving and playful uncle.

The family will receive friends at the visitation on Friday, March 15 at Hartsell Funeral home in Midland from 5 - 9 p.m.   The funeral will be on Saturday, March 16 at Hopewell Baptist Church at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte.
