Charles Barnhardt

Sept. 7, 1954-Sept. 26, 2011 Charles D. Barnhardt, Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 26, leaving behind a host of family and friends. He is survived by his wife Nancy Talbert Barnhardt, children: Michael (Allison), Elise, Stephen, Leah, and Christian, 4 beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Charles are his mother Mildred Waller, her husband Bill, and his brother Darryl Barnhardt. He was predeceased by his brother Mark and father Charles. Charles appreciated the simple pleasures in life. His favorite pastimes were casting a fishing rod and cheering the UNC Tarheels or Oakland Raiders. No one could find a better friend; in fact, many who were not related considered him a brother. He will be sorely missed by everyone. A gathering to celebrate Charles’ life will be held in Salisbury at the home of Marlin and Lisa Lassiter Markham. Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord is serving the Barnhardt family.
