Charles Burnette

Charles "Mick" Burnette, 78 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his residence.
Mick was born May 23, 1937 in Cabarrus County to the late Mike and Margie Sharon Burnette. He was also preceded in death by sister, Diane Bost.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Interment will be held at a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery.
Survivors include wife of 61 years, Doris Burnette of the home; daughters, Donna Burnette, and Pam Wiley and husband Chuck; son, Brian Burnette and wife Crissy; four grandchildren, Chase, Abby, Dylan, and Brandi; one great grandchild Dylan; and two twin brothers, Gary Burnett and Jerry Burnette.
Mick was a Vietnam veteran and a retired Master Sgt. with the United States Air Force and was also a retired U.S.D.A. Inspector for the state of North Carolina.
