Charles Iii

Charles "Pete" Alexander Dewey III, 71 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home.

Pete was born September 13, 1943 in Salisbury, NC to the late Charles Alexander Dewey Jr. and Carolyn Horne Dewey.

A memorial service will be held on Monday October 27,2014 at 1 pm at Forest Hill Church, 7224 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. The family will recieve friends after the service.

Survivors include mother, Carolyn Hutchins Dewey of Charlotte; son, Alex (Melanie) Dewey, IV of Fort Mill, SC; two sisters, Nancy (Garland) Faison of Charlotte, and Susan (DeArmon) McGarity of Charlotte; two grandsons, Will and Kaleb Dewey of Fort Mill, SC; two nieces, Amber O'Connell and Carrie Smith; and nephew, Davidson McGarity.
