Charles Furr
March 17, 1933 — April 1, 2017
Charles Wayne Furr, 84 years of age, of Midland, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.
Charles was born March 17, 1933 in Mecklenburg County to the late Andrew Jackson Furr and the late Bonnie Bryte Furr. He was also preceded in death by wife, Phyllis Ann Furr in December of 2004.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church, and will be officiated by Rev Mark Clontz. Burial will follow at the Bethel United Methodist Cemetery at 12700 Idlebrook Road in Midland. Military graveside rites will be presented by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive, after the burial, in the church fellowship hall.
Survivors include son, Charles "Chip" (Stephanie) Furr of Midland; daughter, Cheryl Furr (Dave) Bennett of Midland; grandchildren, Christy (David) Leyland of Stanfield, Emily (Trent) Middlebrook of Locust, Makenzie Furr and Madelyn Furr both of Midland; and two great-grandchildren Emma and Jenna Middlebrook.
