Charles Hiller

Charles A. Hiller, Sr., 79, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Charlie was born February 27, 1940 in Washington DC to the late Fred and Mabel Hiller.  He was also preceded in death by sister, Louise Cross; and brothers, Gene and Frank Hiller.

Charlie was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a charter member, PER and Santa (of the handicap Christmas party) of the Oakland Elks Lodge #2167.  He volunteered at the Lyons VA, NJ.  Charlie also enjoyed playing bluegrass and country music on his guitar at the VA.  Charlie was a loving husband, father and "Pop Pop."  He will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Survivors include beloved wife of 51 years, Cherie Pettenger Hiller of Concord, NC; son, Charles A. Hiller, Jr. of Butler, NJ; son, Gene Hiller and wife, Dawn, of Harrisburg, NC; brother, Edgar Hiller and wife, Margaret, of Bowie, MD; and 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Gabrielle, John Jr., Emilee, Jenna, Melissa, Charles III, and Rebecca.
