Charles Lunsford, Jr.

Charles Curtis Lunsford, Jr., 74, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his home.

Charles was born March 4, 1947 in Haywood County, North Carolina to the late Charles Curtis Lunsford Sr. and the late Mary Lou Lunsford.  He was also preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn Harvell and Linda Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Prospect Baptist Church, 502 Prospect Ch. Rd., Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Stoney Benfield will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary.  Burial will be in the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include wife, Martha Jane Lunsford; son, Kenneth Darrell Lunsford (Lisa); daughter, Christine Renee Hatley (Jamie); brother, Roger D. Lunsford; sisters, Janie L. Beck, Judy L. Thomas; and ten grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Prospect Baptist Church, 502 Prospect Ch., Rd.,  Albemarle, NC 28001.
